COMET'S DESCENT

a star? a message?

a girl and her widower father witness a pair of strange star twins fall from the sky. they bring them home and take them under their wing. set in a distant solarpunk future, the twins learn kinship and kindness, as truths about the cosmos make themselves ever clearer in a world where tomorrow might not always be a guarantee.

laika. an easygoing, adventurous woman. comets descent follows laika as she helps perform maintenance on various farm equipment, power sources, and other essential technology. is often called the 'april fool' by her peers.

atlas. a quiet, reserved man, living in a lighthouse. a widower who, more than anything, regrets his late husbands' death. spends his days gazing at the skies above him and tending to his daughter, laika. was the first one to discover the twins- he witnessed their falling, after all.

jack. one of the twins, the louder and more rambunctious one of the two. a protective boy- in regards to himself and his family. has powers that differ greatly from his twins. wants to explore and run freely, but is often thwarted by his new father.

zipp. the other twin. more sociable and inquisitive. often "shadows" laika on her adventures. laika never minds- she appreciates the company, really. their powers seem to be influenced by the comet that passed their new world the night they fell. takes greatly after their sister, and seems to be drifting away from their brother more and more.
